PM Pashinyan: We have good relations with two neighbors, Georgia, Iran, but we want to open new era in relations with Turkey, Azerbaijan

“We cooperate and have good relations with our two neighbours, Georgia and Iran, but we want to open a new era in relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during his speech at the Atlantic Council.

According to Pashinyan, “Armenia is primarily focused on regional relations.”

“We are working with Azerbaijan in a bilateral format, but, of course, the attention and support of the international community would be very useful in creating the right environment for achieving a strong peace.

We have a very specific agreement with Turkey on the first stage of opening our border for third-country nationals and holders of diplomatic passports. Our goal is to get to this arrangement as quickly as feasible.

On the other hand, we are deepening cooperation with other regional partners – Georgia and Iran.

Of course, there is an international situation that prevents deepening relations with neighbors, and these circumstances are known to everyone, I will not mention them,” said Pashinyan.
