Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Bertrand Walckenaer, CEO of the French Development Agency (AFD), the Government Administration reported.
At the meeting, the Head of Government emphasized the foundation’s essential financial support for projects of strategic importance to the country, for which he thanked the Deputy CEO of the AFD.
During the conversation, the bilateral relations between Georgia and France were discussed along with the French Government’s significant support in the process of granting the candidate status to Georgia.
Attention at the meeting was paid to prospects of future cooperation that will be further facilitated by the partnership agreement signed between Georgia and the AFD. It was noted that AFD projects are in perfect harmony with spheres prioritized by the Georgian Government, and that active cooperation in this regard will continue in the future.
