The Georgian Prime Minister Iraki Kobakhidze highlighted the country’s commendable results in the fight against corruption, emphasizing the positive outcomes reflected in various international studies. While acknowledging the existing achievements, he expressed the need for greater ambitions, aspiring for Georgia to become a leading country globally in combating corruption.
“We have very good results in the fight against corruption, with a small scale of corruption, which is evidenced by plenty of international studies. Nevertheless, I believe that here again we should have greater ambitions and strive to be among the leading countries of the world towards this end, which is an absolutely realistic goal. Main aim is to actively work on all these topics. Overall, we have a very strong government team and I am confident that we will reach very substantial results together. It all depends on our ability to aim, stay focused and consistent, and work hard. None of these qualities are strange to any of you. Once again, let me wish you success and thank you all. We can now proceed with the agenda of the meeting” concluded PM.
