PM holds working meeting over Zaza Gakheladze’s detention extension
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a working meeting with representatives of the relevant state institutions over the illegal detention extension of Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze to 12.5 years.
According to PM’s Press Service, Giorgi Gakharia discussed possibilities to return the illegally imprisoned Georgian citizen safely and timely to his family.
PM underlined that all diplomatic and legal mechanisms were activated including the format of the internationally mediated Geneva discussions to stop illegal detentions and human rights violation of Georgian locals at the occupational line.
The occupied Tskhinvali Court sentenced the unlawfully detained Georgian citizen Zaza Gakheladze to 12 years and six months in prison on February 5.
