“War is the primary enemy of peace,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in his speech, delivered at the festive event on Independence Day.
The PM stressed that Ukrainian people were sacrificing their lives, defending their freedom in a devastating war against Russia. He wished Ukraine peace, freedom, and unification.
Irakli Garibashvili emphasized that Georgia remained “an oasis of peace and stability in the region” despite destructive attempts by “evil-wishers” from within and outside the country, owing to the government’s peace policy.
“Today, dear friends, when the threat of nuclear war is most acute in history, our primary responsibility and obligation is to maintain and strengthen peace, protect our people, and rescue our country. As a result of the government’s peace policy, despite destructive attempts by evil wishers from within or outside the country, Georgia remains an oasis of peace and stability in the region. We know very well the price of war and peace, and as long as there is even a minor threat to our country and our people, we will not stop fulfilling this obligation,” the PM said.
