PM: Georgia can play important role for Europe in enhancing connectivity
“We will talk with our European colleagues about everything, including political issues, and one of the important ones will be enlargement,” the Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, told journalists ahead of the European Political Community Summit.
According to Kobakhidze, Georgia can play a crucial role in enhancing connectivity in Europe.
“I will emphasize Georgia’s potential to contribute to Europe’s connectivity, particularly in terms of energy. Our country can play a significant role in enhancing connectivity, and I intend to convey this message to our European colleagues during the summit.
Georgia is involved in several projects aimed at bolstering our transit function, especially within the Middle Corridor initiative. These efforts are expected to be of great interest to Europe and the Black Sea region.
Additionally, we will explore specific projects with our European partners during the summit. The summit offers an excellent opportunity for us to engage in bilateral discussions with our colleagues on a wide range of topics, including political matters. Enlargement will be a key topic of conversation during these bilateral meetings,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
Georgian Prime Minister will participate in the Fourth European Political Community Summit on July 18 at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, United Kingdom. The PM-chaired Georgian delegation comprises Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
