PM: EC's delay in report indicates Global War Party no longer expects to win Georgian elections
The European Commission’s decision to postpone the publication of its conclusions until after the elections suggests that external influences remain significant. This development indicates that the Global War Party no longer expects to achieve victory in the upcoming elections in Georgia, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated live on Imedi TV.
According to the Prime Minister, the Commission’s decision to delay the release from October 20 to October 30 reflects an acknowledgement that the opposition is unlikely to win the elections. Consequently, the focus has shifted from the pre-election phase to the post-election period.
“The initial plan was for the European Commission’s conclusions to be released on October 20, but it has now been rescheduled for October 30, meaning it will be published after the elections. There is a possibility that similar statements, although not identical, will feature in the Commission’s opinion.
The fact that the conclusion will only be released after the elections underscores that certain influences are still at play. It also implies that the Global War Party does not expect to secure victory in the Georgian elections. They anticipate that the opposition will not prevail, prompting them to redirect their attention to the post-election period,” Kobakhidze stated.
