PM: Destructive actions of internal foes challenge security, stability
“We have a period of uninterrupted peace and stability, which is the foundation of our country’s development,” said Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili presenting his annual report in the parliament
According to the PM, the Georgian government works to cope with both internal and external threats.
“We have to work in a situation when we have not only external threats but also internal ones, the destructive actions of internal foes represent a direct challenge, a threat to our country, to our stability.
What the Georgian Dream has managed in the last ten years is truly unprecedented. We have a continuous peaceful and stable period, which is the basis for the development of our country,” he said.
According to the PM, “the rules-based international order changes and the threat of use of nuclear weapons is real.” The war in Ukraine is a challenge for the region and the world. Amid this situation, as the PM noted, the top objective of the Georgian government is to rescue the country, protest the interests of the Georgian people and maintain economic growth.
