PM - Constitutional Court has important role in establishment of culture of law and civil values
The Constitutional Court of Georgia is a full member of the European family despite the fact that it belongs to the so-called “young democracy countries”, – Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at the Constitutional Justice Association Congress.
“It should be noted that the Constitutional Court of Georgia is a full member of the European family, even though it belongs to the courts of so-called “young democracy countries”. The proof of this is the international activities carried out in recent years. During the last three years, the Constitutional Court of Georgia chaired the Conference of European Constitutional Courts – a full-scale European Forum, which unites the institutions of the constitutional courts of Europe. I am convinced that the international recognition of the Constitutional Court of Georgia will strengthen our country’s achievements and develop a democratic state system based on the rule of law,” Kvirikashvili said.
As the Prime Minister noted, the role of the Constitutional Court of Georgia is undoubtedly important in the establishment of culture of law and civil values. Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked the friendly countries for contributing to the development of the justice system of our country.
