Physical confrontation erupts at Kizilajlo polling station

A physical altercation occurred at the 74th polling station in Kizilajlo, Marneuli Municipality.

Witnesses reported that members of the opposition United National Movement visited the polling station and allegedly tried to provoke unrest. They stated that tear gas was deployed both inside the election precinct and in the surrounding area.

Giorgi Mumladze, a representative of the National Movement, told the media that the confrontation began after an observer from the organization My Vote for the European Union was expelled from the precinct.

“We came to investigate the situation, and a fight broke out. A gang attacked us,” Mumladze claimed.

However, another individual at the scene accused the National Movement members of arriving with gas cylinders. “These people were Nazis. They came with gas cylinders,” the witness stated.

A journalist from the GPB First Channel confirmed the discovery of gas cylinders at the scene. The tension subsided after the police intervened.
