“Salome Zourabichvili (Georgian President) has turned into a veto woman. She uses the right of veto as a sword when and how she is told,” said Guram Macharashvili, Executive Secretary of the People’s Power party.
“I think Salome Zourabichvili wants to hear our remarks on vetos often. She has turned into a veto woman and wishes to be on the surface of politics. She wants to emerge as an opposition leader in society. This person violated the Constitution, broke the presidential oath and betrayed the voters and the country. She pardons those who verbally assaulted her and uses the right of veto as a sword when and how she is told,” he said.
Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, on June 13, vetoed the amendments to the Election Code, which lowered the 2/3 quorum requirement for CEC decisions to the parliamentary majority.
