People's Power: Opposition develops habit of renouncing MP mandates

“The opposition is developing a habit of renouncing MP mandates,” stated Guram Macharashvili, the People’s Power party member.

According to Macharashvili, the opposition is engaging in a talentless performance that society neither accepts nor will find legitimized internationally.

“They are left with nothing but empty promises and are trying to deceive the public into believing they want to withdraw their electoral lists. Once their powers are recognized after the first session, each member must submit their resignations individually, depending on the will of all elected MPs. These so-called ‘rescue rings’ will be of no help. The opposition aims to create a spectacle, but their actions reflect either a blatant lie or sheer ignorance. They have lost the game; they possess neither resources nor clear objectives or plans,” he asserted.
