Georgian Parliament opens the spring session on February 1. Lawmakers will convene for the plenary sitting and hold the political debates.
MPs will choose between two candidates, acting Chairman Giorgi Kalandarishvili and Tengiz Tevzadze, Executive Director of 20/20 Civil Platform, to elect the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Furthermore, members of the Georgian Parliament will hear the annual reports of State Security Service, Public Defender, National Bank of Georgia, State Audit Service and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
MPs will also adopt Constitutional changes, lowering the election threshold from 5 to 2% and holding elections under a fully proportional system.
The spring session will close last Friday of June.
