Parliament’s spring session opened in Tbilisi

The spring session of the parliament of the 9th convocation has been opened. The state anthem was performed in the Parliament’s Tbilisi building. The 121 MPs are attending the plenary session.

Irakli Kobakhidze, Parliament Speaker will deliver a speech. Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, members of Cabinet of Ministers and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze will attend the speech. Kobakhidze will present the annual report of the parliament’s activities for 2018 as well as the future plan for 2019.

Lawmakers will have to make several important decisions during the spring session. Among staff issues will be approval of Chairperson of Supreme Court of Georgia and election of judges for Supreme Court.

Starting today, the parliament will continue its legislative activities in the parliament building in Tbilisi.
