Parliamentary opposition to file lawsuit against Transparency Law in Constitutional Court
Representatives of the parliamentary opposition will file a lawsuit against the Transparency of Foreign Influence law in the Constitutional Court.
The MPs are demanding the annulment of the law, specifically challenging its compliance with Articles 22 and 78 of the Constitution.
The opposition members are signing the lawsuit in the Parliament, in the office of MP Tamar Kordzaia. The signing process is closed to the media, but those who attended the meeting described it as an act of protest.
According to available information, the signing process is expected to last about two days.
Tamar Kordzaia will present the final version of the document to the Constitutional Court on behalf of the opposition.
