Parliamentary Majority MPs becoming introduced with US experience in selection of judges for Supreme Court

Members of the Parliamentary Majority are becoming introduced with the US experience in selection of judges for Supreme Court within the framework of Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia Project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The 3-day working meeting is being held in Borjomi resort.

It was underlined during the conference that the process has to be transparent with the involvement of representatives of non-governmental organizations and all interested sides. Selection of candidates for judicial posts at Supreme Court will be based on the American model.
