Maka Botchorishvili, the Chair of the European Integration Committee, along with the first deputy, Levan Karumidze and committee member Salome Kurasbedian, had a meeting with the Chair of the Defense Committee of the Bulgarian Parliament, Hristo Gadzhev.
The discussions centred on security challenges in Europe, with a particular focus on Russia’s occupation of Georgian territories and the prospects of Georgia’s EU membership. The meeting emphasized the importance of Black Sea security.
Georgian MPs also met with the representatives of Bulgarian executive structures, including the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elena Shekerletova and the advisor to the Bulgarian Prime Minister for EU issues, Ekaterina Dimitrusheva.
The Bulgarian side reaffirmed Bulgaria’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
