Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili declared at the Bureau session on Thursday that the second round of voting for non-judge members of the High Council of Justice (HCoJ) would take place.
According to him, the most qualified four candidates would be put on the vote.
The Speaker explained that the High Council of Justice has five vacant seats; parliament elected three non-judge members yesterday, and voting for the remaining two vacant posts will take place today.
On May 17, the Georgian parliament elected three non-judges to the HCoJ: Tristan Benashvili, Giorgi Gzobava, and Zurab Guraspashvili. There were 29 candidates on the ballot.
