Parliament Speaker meets with Greek Ambassador

Georgian Parliament Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili met Ambassador of Greece to Georgia, Maria Theodorou.

The parties discussed the centennial historical and cultural links between the countries and productive cooperation.

The Speaker expressed his gratitude for the support of Greece to the territorial integrity and the Euro-Atlantic aspiration of Georgia.

The parties emphasized the EU membership application and underlined the role of the Parliament and the plans of the Speaker on the EU accession path, namely, the reforms for bringing the Georgian legislation in line with EU norms.

The parties dwelt on the Russian aggression in Ukraine. The Speaker expressed the support of Georgia to Ukraine in the bilateral and multilateral formats.
