Parliament expressed confidence to new membership of government

Lawmakers expressed confidence to the new membership of the government and governmental program “Freedom, Fast Development, prosperity” during the plenary session. New Cabinet was confirmed with 101 votes, 12 voted against.

The new government won a confidence vote following the recent structural and staff changes, which reduced the number of ministries from 14 to 11.
The following ministers won the Parliament’s confidence vote:
Prime Minister – Mamuka Bakhtadze;
Minister of Foreign Affairs – Davit Zalkaliani;
Minister of Internal Affairs – Giorgi Gakharia;
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports – Mekheil Batiashvili;
Finance Minister –Ivane Machavariani;
Minister of Economics and Sustainable Development – Giorgi Kobulia;
Minister of IDPs from Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Protection – Davit Sergeenko;
Minister of Environment – Levan Davitashvili.
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure – Maia Tskitishvili;
Minister of Defence – Levan Izoria;
Minister of Justice – Tea Tsulukiani;
State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality- Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
