Parents of children with achondroplasia rally outside gov't administration

Parents of children with achondroplasia are rallying outside the government administration, requesting a meeting with the Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili to discuss medication financing.

According to them, they have been staging protests for the fourth month, but have not gotten thorough responses from Georgia’s Minister of Health, and they have asked the PM to take an interest in the matter.

Today, the Parliament discussed the said issue. No country, according to Health Minister Zurab Azarashvili, finances achondroplasia medicine. According to him, the state is willing to assist with diagnostic or psychological support.

The protesters say they will stay overnight at the administration.
