PACE President Tiny Kox: Russia must leave all occupied territories
Addressing the CoE Summit of Heads of State and Government in Reykjavík, on Tuesday, Tiny Kox, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) expressed “full support” for Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova, stressing Russia “must leave all occupied territories in Europe”.
Kox pledged that the PACE would not allow “an aggressor country” – Russia – to destroy “multilateralism” in Europe.
“We will have a strong statement about solidarity, and those who started an aggressive war will answer for their actions sooner or later, including the leaders of Russia,” Kox stated.
The Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Council of Europe is underway in Reykjavík on May 16–17, 2023. It is the fourth time in the 74-year history of the organization that the leaders of the member states meet under the auspices of the Council.
