PACE President congratulates Irakli Kobakhidze on his appointment as Prime Minister
Theodoros Rousopoulos, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia.
Below is an official letter:
“Dear Prime Minister,
It is with great pleasure that I learnt of your recent appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia, and I should like to congratulate you most warmly on this nomination.
The threats to European multilateralism and common legal order have put a burden on all Council of Europe member States and it is more important than ever to stand united around our shared values in front of the extraordinary challenges with which we are faced.
I am sure that your extensive work and experience gained within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 2020, be it as Chairperson of your national delegation, as Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly, or as a member of the Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States, will be decisive assets in fulfilling the important tasks ahead of you.
Wishing you every success and the very best for the challenges ahead, I remain.”
