Parliamentary opposition MPs met with non-governmental organizations to discuss issues related to judicial reforms to fulfil the 12 priorities established by the European Commission.
Ana Natsvlishvili, a member of the Lelo – Partnership for Georgia, believes judicial reform is crucial to implementing other recommendations as effectively as possible. Furthermore, she explained that the reform involves the appointment of judges, staffing of the High Council of Justice, etc.
“We have an open dialogue with the civil sector. We don’t expect the judicial reform to be easy to carry out, but our views mainly coincide. That is important,” she said.
MPs Ana Natsvlishvili, Tamar Kordzaia, and Paata Manjgaladze took part in the meeting.
