“If the Georgian Dream, through its propaganda, alleges that Canada, France and Georgia have the same legislation, then it declares the West as an adversary,” said opposition MP Teona Akubardia.

According to Teona Akubardia, the ruling team uses the law On Transparency of Foreign Influence for propaganda purposes.

“This means that the ruling party uses this law for propaganda purposes since financing is not the only tool that forces the entire non-governmental sector to register as an organization pursuing foreign interests. This proves that a real adversary occupant Russia is not a problem and the West is an adversary,” she said.

Canada passed the law on foreign influence on June 20.
