Opposition MP Dekanoidze supports if Salome Zourabichvili were presidential candidate from opposition

“I don’t have any problems with Salome Zourabichvili being named a presidential candidate from the opposition,” said opposition MP Khatia Dekanoidze.

According to Khatia Dekanoidze, President Salome Zourabichvili’s role is significant in Georgia’s EU integration process.

“I have repeatedly said that I will support Salome Zourabichvili’s candidacy for the presidential post. I don’t think there is any particular difficulty for Salome Zourabichvili to be a presidential candidate from the opposition flank. I think it is possible. Her role in the European integration process is significant,” she said.

At the meeting with students on June 11, President Salome Zourabichvili said: “I would be happy and proud if I were your presidential candidate.”
