Nurse hospitalized in Tbilisi after AZ vaccine complication

A 27-year-old nurse, who developed an anaphylactic reaction after the AstraZeneca COVID-19 shot, has been hospitalized in a critical condition in the First University Clinic in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.

Health experts think the COVID-19 vaccine likely triggered such a rare allergic reaction.

Georgian Health officials and Covid-19 vaccine experts gathered to discuss the first case of alleged anaphylactic reaction developed after the AstraZeneca shot.

The meeting attendees are also discussing whether to suspend vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine in the country.
