Number of international arrivals in Georgia reaches 9.3 million in 2019

The National Tourism Administration of Georgia summed up projects of 2019 and presented the statistics earlier today.

As Mariam Kvrivishvili, Head of the National Tourism Administration, said, for the first time in Georgian history, the total number of international tourists in Georgia in 2019 reached 9.3 million which is 7.91 per cent higher compared to 2018.

In the period of January-November 2019, global international tourism revenue reached approximately 3 051 424 548 U.S. dollars which is 35 million U.S. dollars higher compared to 2018.

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, representatives of various government agencies, private sector, diplomatic corps, donor organizations and media attended the event.
