No jail time for cannabis imports under 10 grams

On April 21, the Constitutional Court of Georgia determined that importing under 10 grams of dry marijuana for personal consumption would not lead to imprisonment.

The Court deemed unconstitutional the normative context of the first part of Article 262 of the Criminal Code, which assumed up to 9.68 grams of dry marijuana as a narcotic drug.

The Constitutional Court decision is the last and final.
