Nika Gvaramia: Election results to be annulled, new elections to be held - GD cannot win
“The election results will be annulled, new elections will be held, and whoever wins will be the winner. It cannot be the Georgian Dream, you’ll see,” stated Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change.
As Gvaramia noted while speaking with journalists, the parliament is illegitimate, and everyone agrees on this.
“We made a statement yesterday renouncing our mandates. As soon as it becomes possible to withdraw the lists, which can only happen after the recognition of results, we will withdraw these lists as well. There is consensus on this from everyone,” stated Nika Gvaramia.
Nika Gvaramia says that falsification was carried out through “carousel” voting.
“One person was voting at multiple polling stations. Also, there was a new form of ‘carousel’ where they were giving two ballots to Georgian Dream supporters,” stated Nika Gvaramia.
Regarding the OSCE/ODIHR assessment of the October 26 parliamentary elections, Gvaramia said he “agrees with many points about violations, though not all particulars of the assessment are acceptable to him.”
“The ODIHR conclusion is not a Bible for me that I must accept completely,” stated Nika Gvaramia.
