New company to carry out rehabilitation of Gelati Monastery Complex

A new company Bagineti+ will engage in rehabilitation of the Church of the Mother of God in Gelati Monastery Complex starting today, the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation decided.

Due to the failure to remedy flaws identified during the temporary roofing works carried out within the framework of preventive efforts, the project companies, International Center for the Arts, and the Ikorta 2007 were fined GEL 12 000 each following the Code of Administrative Offenses. The fined companies will fund the works needed to eliminate the deficiencies.

The company Bagineti+ will eliminate the shortcomings, the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia reported.
