New Chairperson of Legal Affairs Committee to be elected today

The new Chairperson of the Legal Affairs Committee will be elected in the parliament today. The issue is already on the working agenda of the plenary sitting. The parliamentary majority presented the candidacy of MP Anri Okhanashvili on the post.

The position of Chairperson of the Legal Affairs Committee became vacant after MP Eka Beselia quit the post at the end of 2018. Davit Matikashvili has served the duties to the present. It is known that the parliamentary minority will not support Okhanashvili’s candidacy.

The spring session of the parliament of the 9th convocation will be opened today. Starting today, the parliament will continue its legislative activities in the parliament building in Tbilisi.
