The National Democratic Institute (NDI) delegation will evaluate the preparation process of the presidential elections in Georgia. The international observer delegation has already arrived in Tbilisi.
According to NDI, the goal of the delegation’s visit is to demonstrate support by the international community towards the democratic processes in Georgia and to strengthen public confidence in the electoral process.
The delegation will meet representatives of government, presidential candidates, political party leaders, election administration, media, civil society and international organizations during July 23-27. As a result of meetings, preparation for elections, political activities of the main subjects of the electoral process and general environment will be assessed.
The delegation will present a preliminary report on July 27.
