In June 2024, the volume of loans issued by commercial banks in Georgia increased by 966.17 million GEL (1.71%), reaching 57.34 billion GEL. Loans in national currency rose by 785.90 million GEL (2.56%), while loans in foreign currency grew by 180.28 million GEL (0.70%), the Georgian National Bank reported.

Resident legal entities received 9.36 billion GEL in national currency loans (up 4.21%) and 16.55 billion GEL in foreign currency loans (up 1.05%). Resident households saw their loan volume rise by 382.81 million GEL (1.31%), totaling 29.52 billion GEL. The total loan-to-GDP ratio increased to 54.83%, up by 0.45 percentage points from the previous month.
