National Environment Agency says geodynamic processes are of local spread

Geologists of the National Environment Agency assessed the geodynamic processes near a construction site at #5 Brotseuli Street in Vashlijvari district of Tbilisi.

According to the Agency, the specialists determined that the geodynamic processes are of local spread, posing a threat only to the construction site while construction works are halted as of now.

“The construction company has ordered detailed engineering-geological (geotechnical) studies to develop recommendations for protective measures. The processes pose no threat to nearby residential houses and infrastructural facilities,” the Agency said.

In July, there were landslides activated on the slope in the Vashlijvari settlement.
