Natia Turnava: We will approve Air France flights, to be carried out twice a week
We have made the final decision to approve Air France flights, the exact date will be determined by the company itself, – said Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
The company will be able to carry out Paris-Tbilisi direct regular flights twice a week.
“We discussed the resumption of direct regular flights with the five EU countries that have unconditionally opened their borders. These negotiations were carried out with Germany through Lufthansa, which has already published the flight schedule and tickets are already on sale. The next is Air France, today we made the final decision that we will approve the launch of Air France flights from the beginning of August, the exact date will be determined by the company itself. Air France will be able to start direct regular air services between Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport and Tbilisi International Airport twice a week.” – Minister said.
As Tunava notes, negotiations are conducted with Air Baltic on the Tbilisi-Riga route and a decision is expected to be made soon.
