Natia Turnava: We urge the Anaklia Development Consortium to be focused on fulfillment of obligations in order to start construction timely

The government has repeatedly stressed that Anaklia port is a strategic object, – said Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava.

According to her, the project has unprecedented support from the government.

“This project has unprecedented support from the government, starting with the 300 million GEL cost infrastructures, ending with the purchase of land costing 70 million GEL and additional funding of $ 100 million, as well as full legal support,” the Minister said.
According to Natia Turnava, the government is actively working to support the project, including with international banks.

We are very hopeful that the private investor – the Anaklia Development Consortium will fulfill its obligations in parallel with such support. We urge the company to be focused on the fulfillment of the obligations so that the construction of the most important port of Anaklia to start timely, ”- the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development said.
