Natalie Sabanadze: Suspension Mechanism for Georgia not to be discussed
Natalie Sabanadze, Georgia’s ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and Head of the Georgian mission to the European Union claims that discussion about Suspension Mechanism regarding visa-free regime for Georgia is not planned.
In an interview with First Channel, Savabadze said that the report of December 20 is due to be discussed in European Commission. The report is about proceeding of visa-free regime with a number of countries.
“There is such a possibility that Suspension Mechanism is activated. But Georgia should continue fulfillment of taken obligations and Georgian citizens must not violate rules of visa-free regime,” Sabanadze claimed.
