MPs observe minute of silence in commemoration of Georgian citizen killed by occupants
Lawmakers observed a minute of silence at the plenary sitting in commemoration of Tamaz Ginturi, a Georgian citizen killed by Russian occupants.
Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili that the murder of 2008 war veteran Tamaz Ginturi once again demonstrated the gravity of the occupation.
“The occupation victimizes the lives and health of our citizens and demonstrates that the main national task for our country and every Georgian should be to end the occupation and restore territorial integrity. Please honor the memory of Tamaz Gintur with a minute of silence,” he said.
Tamaz Ginturi, a Georgian citizen killed by the Russian occupying forces in Kirbali village of the Gori Municipality was buried on November 11 at the local cemetery with military honors.
Russian occupants killed Tamaz Ginturi during an attempt of illegal arrest on November 6.
