MP Samkharadze: Lithuania pressured Georgia on sanctions but sold more wine to Russia
“Lithuanian government pressurised Georgia for imposing sanctions on Russia yet they sold more wine to Russia in 2023 than Georgia,” wrote Nikoloz Samkharadze, a member of the parliamentary majority, on social media.
Samkharadze criticized this as a clear example of double standards.
“Perfect example of double standards. Lithuanian government pressurised Georgia for imposing sanctions on Russia yet they sold more wine to Russia in 2023 than Georgia. Hypocrisy at its best. I wonder which sort of grapes they grow in the Baltics?” he remarked.
