MP Mdinaradze dubs it unbelievable that EU structure imposes sanctions for law-making
“People die for their country’s independence and sacrifice their lives for this idea, but the imposition of sanctions by the European structure for legislative activities is unbelievable,” said Mamuka Mdinaradze, leader of the parliamentary majority.
“The Law on Transparency of Foreign Influence is proper, and we have our stance. It is unthinkable to call it Russian and mention sanctions. Members of the European Parliament dared to utter that Europe may impose sanctions on the legislative work. Some people believe that the law is Russian and are scared. On April 29, people who support national policy and for whom motherland, language and faith are of utmost significance will gather. Georgian Dream members will guarantee that those who do not want to join are not reprimanded,” Mdinaradze said.
According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, a European representative of Transparency International called the Euro directive, initiated in the European Parliament in connection with the Transparency of Foreign Influence, pro-Russian.
“Everything that they dislike is tagged as pro-Russian. A European representative of Transparency International called the Euro directive, initiated in the European Parliament in connection with the Transparency of Foreign Influence, pro-Russian instead of Georgian law. We haven’t found those two people in the European Parliament, naturally, they supported us. There will be others also called pro-Russian as soon as they emerge,” he said.
