MP Kakhiani: President breaks constitution norm by displaying her stance towards parties

MP Giorgi Kakhiani said, “When the President makes calls and displays her stance towards the parties, she breaks the norm of the constitution that requires impartiality from a party point of view.”

Kakhani deemed the President’s urge for Mamuka Khazaradze and Giorgi Gakharia to unite their parties “unacceptable.”

“The Constitution prohibits the President from being affiliated with any political party, recognising the President as a neutral institution,” he asserted.
