MP Kadagishvili vows GD to do utmost to prevent 'damaging venture'

Ruling Georgian Dream party member, Irakli Kadagishvili, on Sunday, remarked on former Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili’s statement that he was ashamed as Georgia was not participating [in war] and was not Ukraine’s ally.

Merabishvili also announced mass protest rallies to change the government into a pro-Western, pro-Ukrainian one.

MP Kadagishvili said: “Why should the Georgian government be subservient to the other country’s government and attack Russia to aid Ukraine? In other words, to launch the conflict and repeat the catastrophe that this political group [UNM] brought upon us in 2008 as a result of their adventurist policy.”

GD MP pledged the ruling party would spare no effort to “prevent Georgia from being a victim of the next venture.”
