Mirian Nikoladze: The Shakarashvili family demands that perpetrators must be brought to justice for premeditated murder under aggravated circumstances

The family of Giorgi Shakarashvili demands that all the perpetrators must be brought to justice, for premeditated murder under aggravated circumstances, Shakarashvili’s uncle Mirian Nikoladze said.

As Nikoladze noted, “the expert report shows that Giorgi Shakarashvili was killed and later thrown into the Aragvi River.”

Shakarashvili’s uncle pointed out that “the expert report revealed about 12 types of injuries, all of them were sustained before the death of 19-year-old footballer. This confirms there was physical violence against the child.”

Earlier today, the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office stated that an autopsy has shown 19-year-old footballer Giorgi Shakarashvili’s death was caused by drowning.

Based on the forensic conclusion and analysis of other evidences, the General Prosecutor’s Office made the decision about adding precision to the qualification of the case and now Giorgi Shakarashvili’s death case is being investigated on the charge of premeditated murder committed in a group under grave circumstances as per Criminal Code of Georgia.
