Ministry of Education – Tuition fees to up to 70 university entrants living in Azerbaijan to be financed by Georgian government
Georgian university entrants living in Azerbaijan, who cannot travel to Georgia to take the national exams, will have their studies financed by the government – Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia reported. As the Ministry noted, up to 70 entrants will be beneficiaries of financial assistance.
“The university entrants, who fall into the category in question, according to the legislature, could enter the higher education institutions without taking the national exams. However, the state grant was provided on condition if they succeeded in the exams. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as a result of our decision, in order to assist our compatriots up to 70 entrants will be financed by the state”, – reads the statement.
