Minister of Health – There is no risk of false diagnosis with tests imported in Georgia
Ekaterine Tikaradze, Minister of Health talked about reliability of tests for novel coronavirus imported in Georgia during the Coordination Council established at the order of Prime Minister for prevention of the virus in the country.
Tikaradze responded to media reports that Spain had withdrawn Chinese tests from the country due to their unreliability.
Health Minister provided explanations about the agreement concluded with BIOS Company, which withdrew its products from a number of markets. Tikaradze said that Georgia had an agreement with BIOS but it had been annulled for the time being and there were no BIOS tests in Lugar Laboratory.
The Minister said that tests imported in Georgia were examined at Lugar Research Center and were put into practice afterwards. “There is no risk of false diagnosis with tests imported in Georgia,” Tikaradze claimed.
