Minister of Economy - Government to provide transportation of Georgian citizens from Italy
Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Natia Turnava, said that the government will provide transportation of Georgian citizens from Italy to Georgia through direct flights.
As the Minister told reporters, the travel expenses of those citizens will be covered by the government.
“I would like to calm down our citizens who intended to return from Italy to Georgia through direct flights. We are already working to arrange their return. The cost will be covered by the government,” Turnava said.
Direct flights with Italy have been temporarily suspended in prevention of the spread of novel coronavirus in the country.
The decision was made during the sitting of an inter-institutional Coordination Council established in connection with the prevention of the novel coronavirus in the country.
