Mikheil Saakashvili's health not satisfactory, physician says

“Georgia’s ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili’s health is not satisfactory as he has anemia, neurodeficit, and gastrointestinal problems,” said Saakashvili’s physician Nikoloz Kipshidze on Sunday.

Kiphshidze believes “multidisciplinary doctors should gather to discuss why this happened.” He claims “Saakashvili’s treatment is not adequate.”

Earlier today, the medical council, set up by Public Defender Nino Lomjaria, visited the Gori Military Hospital to examine Saakashvili’s health.

Before visiting Saakashvili, neurologist Otar Toidze briefed reporters saying “Saakashvili was taking a drug he should not have taken. That drug, prescribed in the Rustavi Prison, worsened his condition.”
