Former president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili will be settled in the Netherlands after the expulsion from Ukraine, – lawyer Oscar Hammerstein was quoted as saying by De Telegraaf.
According to Hammerstein, Saakashvili addressed the Office of the Migration and Naturalization and requested the right to residence in the city of Rotterdam. According to the lawyer, the former president of Georgia is going to settle in Amsterdam.
Last December, the Ministry of Security and Justice of the Netherlands confirmed that the former president of Georgia was granted a visa because he was married to Dutch citizen Sandra Roelofs and had two children with her.
On February 12, the Ukrainian border service expelled Mikheil Saakashvili from the country to Poland on the basis of the readmission agreement.
