Mikheil Saakashvili: I am proud of Merabishvili's steadfastness, I urge everyone to reconcile

The former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili responds to Vano Merabishvili’s release from prison on his social media.

Saakashvili writes that he welcomes the release of Vano Merabishvili after many years of imprisonment.

“I welcome Vano Merabishvili’s release after many years of imprisonment. I am proud of his endurance and steadfastness. I agree that Ivanishvili will definitely come to an end, not because of our personal feelings, but because, as Vano noted, our country needs progress and development. I urge everyone to reconcile, not for the past, but for the future”, – Saakashvili wrote on his Facebook page.

Former Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vano Merabishvili has left the penitentiary. Merabishvili’s sentence has expired today.
